THE principal party for this year's Tweedbank Fair were announced during an in-person and live streamed event earlier this month.
The Picking Night at Tweedbank Community Centre on Friday, April 1 invited those in P7 who had submitted applications and their parents to come along to the draw and to then enjoy a disco and licensed bar after the selection.
This year's principals were named as:
Lad – Cameron Tunmore
Lass – Ellie Mihulka
1st Lad Attendant – Max Selkirk
1st Lass Attendant – Amber McBarron
2nd Lad Attendant – Leyton Robertson
2nd Lass Attendant – Charlotte Cloughley
Tweedbank Fair 2022 will run from May 21-28.
On Saturday, May 21 the festival will kick off with the Chris Doyle Memorial Football Festival. On the Sunday there will be the Investiture and Family Treasure Hunt.
The rest of the week will include bingo for young people, a picnic and open day, afternoon tea for over 50s and the fancy dress parade.
The festival will close on Saturday, May 28 with the Grand Parade, fete and fun day, Rock on the Loch, grand raffle and Fun Run Around the Pond.
