A BORDERS man has been jailed for 12 months after assaulting a man to his severe injury.
Twenty-eight-year-old Joshua Watson, who gave an address in the Kelso area, had previously been found guilty by a jury at Edinburgh Sheriff Court of the offence.
A 29-year-old man suffered a broken jaw in the incident in Kelso town centre in April, 2019.
Sentence had previously been deferred to await the outcome of other cases involving Watson.
Sheriff Alistair Noble said the 12 months sentence would start from Friday.
