POLICE are appealing for information after a vehicle travelling 'at speed' failed to stop for officers in Galashiels.
Around 12.30am today (June 4), officers saw the vehicle, believed to be a light-coloured Ford Transit Connect, driving along Melrose Road.
The vehicle was signalled to stop by officers but was driven off towards Langlee and was last seen in the Langshaw area.
Enquiries are ongoing to trace the driver and the vehicle. No one was injured.
Sergeant Martin Gibson, of Galashiels Police Station, said: "Our enquiries to trace the driver and vehicle are ongoing.
"We are appealing to anyone who was in the area and could have witnessed the incident to get in touch.
"I would also ask anyone with dash-cam footage to come forward, you may have captured something which could assist us in our enquiries."
