DACHSHUNDS and their owners had a 'fantastic' day in the sun on Sunday.
The Dachshund Fun Day took place at Thirlestane Castle to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
And it was a great success with more than 300 sausage dogs attending, with more than 1,000 people.
The fun day was organised by the Scottish Dachshund Club and featured a range of doggy events including a wiener race, fancy dress competition and agility classes for dachshunds and other family dogs.
Carol Mitchell, a member of the Scottish Dachshund Club committee, said: "It was amazing. The sun shone and we had over 300 dachshunds and family dogs and approximately 1,000 people. The racing was a great success."
The club has previously held similar dachshund events in Musselburgh in 2018 and 2019.
Ms Mitchell added: "We weren't expecting it [the turnout] at all. We just didn't know what to expect.
"People came from all over. It was fantastic to see such support."
As well as the dog activities, owners were able to enjoy a range of refreshments courtesy of the Lauderdale Hunt Supporters Club and pet supply and plant stands.
