JOHN MCOWAN began writing his memoirs during the coronavirus lockdown, and now his book is finally published.
Last month Mr McOwan told the Peeblesshire News that he'd hoped to get his memoirs published in the future.
Now, however, that has become a reality as his book is now available to buy.
And to celebrate this momentous occasion, Mr McOwan will be signing copies of his book at Whitie's Books in Peebles.
He said: "I would be pleased to sign any copies bought on July 30 from 3-5pm at Whitie's Book Shop."
'A Centenarian's Memoirs of WWII' can be bought from Whitie's Book Shop, Peebles.
