SIXTEEN Borders dancers performed in the heart of Edinburgh this weekend, in a welcome return to the Fringe Festival.
Dancers from the Fiona Henderson School of Dance finally returned to the Edinburgh Fringe on Saturday after not performing at the festival for two years due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The dancers brought their one-off show, Horizons – which featured a number of dance genres including Highland, ballet, commercial, jazz – a Riddle Court.
The show was choreographed in just five days as part of a 'show in a week' workshop.
Dancers were taught by several visiting choreographers to create Horizons.
School principal and artistic director Fiona Henderson said: “Teachers and parents were delighted with their performance.
"Each of our pupils really stepped up to the unique ‘Senior Summer Intensive’ challenge and put on a wonderful performance to an incredibly high level.
"It is even more remarkable that the show was prepared from start to finish in only five days.
"We hope all our star performers had a wonderful experience being part of the whole Edinburgh Fringe experience."
Performers who took to the Fringe stage on Saturday included: Aaron Prady, Beth Lapsley, Daisy Brown, Ella Scott-Bruce, Erica Munnis, Grace Clark, Heather Whelan, Heidi Allen, Jess MacKenzie, Jessica Allen, Lara Little, Leah O’Donohoe, Nina McDowell, Rachael Lapsley, Rebecca Spence, Rosie Spence.
