PLANS for a hot food takeaway in Galashiels have been unveiled.
An application to change the use of the former shop at 17 Market Street has been submitted to Scottish Borders Council.
It was filed by agents Aidan Hume Design Ltd on behalf of applicant Paolo Crolla.
The site has previously homed Simply Mortgages, Apex Scotland and, most recently, Vaporized.
Offering no objection to the application, council flood officer Ian Chalmers said it was a “small scale alteration” that was “unlikely to have a significant effect on the storage capacity of the functional floodplain or affect local flooding problems”.
