A MAN spat in a woman’s face and threw glass over her dogs during an incident in a Borders town, say police.
The man – described as tall and possibly wearing a pale blue top – also threw beer over the woman, according to officers.
Police say the incident took place between 7pm and 8pm on Thursday, August 11, on Selkirk’s Bridge Street.
The woman was walking her dog and approached a group of men who were standing next to a black car.

The woman is said to have questioned the group about the mess they had made before the man spat in her face, threw beer over her and glass over the dogs.
The man then left the scene, walking over the bridge towards the town centre, say police.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “There were a number of people in the area at the time of this incident and we are appealing for them to come forward, especially a lady who spoke to the suspect at the time of the incident.
