Police in the Scottish Borders investigating the theft of two bikes stolen from Peebles have made an arrest.
The bikes were stolen from outside a vehicle in the town's Greenside car park on the afternoon of Tuesday August 23.
As a result of enquiries by the Scottish Borders Community Action Team, officers searched an address in Gorebridge on Friday August 27.
A 19-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with this theft.
He was due to appear at Jedburgh Sheriff Court today, Monday August 29.
Officers say that they encourage everyone to ensure that their bikes are secured at all times and for further advice regarding bike security can be found here.
