A CONCERNED resident wants plans for a hot food takeaway in Galashiels binned over refuse issues.
A bid has been submitted to Scottish Borders Council from Paolo Crolla for the change of use and alterations to form a takeaway at 17 Market Street, formerly the Vaporized retail outlet.
An objector has submitted an objection as the building has no rear access and “therefore no suitable access or placement for food waste/refuse bins”.

The objector says: “This would mean that bins to service the potentially high volume of food waste/refuse would have to be kept on the street.
“Furthermore, this area of Galashiels already has a very high saturation and choice of hot food/fast food outlets and this property would better serve the community of Galashiels if kept as a retail business.”
