A BORDERS man involved in a disturbance at a local supermarket has been ordered to pay a total of £320.
Twenty-four-year-old Jago Neil, of Galalaw Road, Hawick, pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner at Morrisons on June 14 last year.
He admitted shouting and swearing, striking a glass door with his hand and behaving in an aggressive manner.
Depute fiscal Fiona Hamilton said the incident started when he turned up at the store with a dog and was told by staff that no dogs were allowed.
An argument then developed and he began punching the glass door.
Neil was fined £225 and ordered to pay £75 compensation to a store staff worker involved in the altercation. In addition a £20 Victim Surcharge was imposed.
