PLANS for a row of six detached homes in Selkirk have been rubber-stamped.
Scottish Borders Council’s Planning and Building Standards Committee today granted approval for the properties on land north east of The Lodge at Philiphaugh Mill in Ettrickhaugh Road, on Monday.
An original application received nine representations with road safety concerns and other matters raised in relation to the development.
A revised application was subsequently submitted by the applicant, Melrose-based Rural Renaissance, which reduced the scale of the properties.

Jedburgh and District councillor Sandy Scott said: “I’m happy with the layout, my only concern is flooding. A previous planning bid for eight houses was refused due to flood problems.
“But as the flood prevention officers are happy with it, I’m quite happy.”
Mid-Berwickshire councillor Donald Moffat added: “I think this is a good layout and the designs of the houses are pretty good for the area they are going into.
“The overall scheme is a good fit for that area.”
