CONCERN is growing for a missing Borders woman with police issuing a fresh appeal in a bid to trace her.
Michelle Pettie, 45, was reported to officers as missing from the Melrose area on Monday, September 5, but has been missing since Saturday, September 3.
She is described as white, 5ft3 in height, of slight build and has dyed red/auburn hair. She is believed to have been wearing a black jacket and jeans.
Inspector David Robertson, of Police Scotland, said: “Michelle is known to frequent the Galashiels area of the Scottish Borders and was reported to have been seen there on Friday, September 9. We’ve also had a report that she was in Melrose on Tuesday, September 6.
“We are keen to establish Michelle’s whereabouts as soon as possible as concern is growing for her welfare.
“In addition, we would ask Michelle to get in touch with either family, friends, or police if she sees this and let us know she is safe and well.”
Any information should be reported to Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 1749 of Monday, September 5, 2022.
