A PLANNING bid for nine affordable three-bedroom family homes in Innerleithen has been approved by Scottish Borders Council.
An application was submitted from Carlisle-based Cubby Construction Ltd for the maisonettes formed in two blocks of terraced housing in Peebles Road.
There is to be a provision of 14 car parking spaces and the intention is also to include two electric car charging points.
A report with the application said: “The site is within a predominantly residential area, with the neighbouring two storey residential buildings of Tweed View to the west and one storey bungalow to the east.
“The design brief caters for housing needs identified for the Innerleithen area by providing three bedroom person maisonettes.”
