A BORDERS man will be sentenced next month on five counts of police assault.
Thirty-two-year-old Kevin Cook, of Hawick, also pleaded guilty at Jedburgh Sheriff Court to a charge of threatening or abusive behaviour.
Not guilty pleas to five other charges including assault to injury and police assault were accepted by the Crown before a trial was due to go-ahead.
Sentence was deferred until October 10 for the production of background reports.
