Residents across Peebles and Galashiels in the Scottish Borders have been told to brace themselves for some disruption amid a Met Office weather forecast for the region and other parts of Scotland.
The national weather service has warned of strong and cold winds throughout Friday and has predicted short bursts of heavy rain.
The rain could cause some flooding and partially impact bus and train services.
Brighter weather and scattered showers are expected for the rest of the weekend while strong south westerly winds are set for Saturday and Sunday.
Here is where the weather warning covers and what to expect.
