POLICE in the Scottish Borders have received a number of reports over the past week of break-ins & attempted breaks-in to sheds and garages and also suspicious persons in back gardens in Innerleithen.
Those involved appear to have been looking for garages / sheds that may contain bikes or other valuables.
Officers suggest householders follow the advice on the poster below.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Please take some time to review the security of your garage or shed particularly if they are used to store bikes or other valuable items.
“Please call us immediately to report any suspicious activity or via 101 or 999 if you suspect a crime is ongoing.”
