GOLFERS in Galashiels have donated more than £3,000 to a Scottish children's charity.
Members of Galashiels Golf Club have raised £3,810 for Children's Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS).
The charity, which supports children with life shortening conditions and their families, was selected as the club's chosen charity partner this year.
The charity was chosen in recognition of its support of club member Alexander Hogg's grandson Jamie, who is 18 and received help through the CHAS at Home team.
CHAS Community Fundraiser Sarah Dannfald was presented with the cheque by club representatives at the new Tapestry of Scotland Centre.
She said: “We are so grateful to all the members of Galashiels Golf Club for choosing CHAS as their charity partner this year.
"Their donation will directly help the children and families we support right across Scotland.
“There are currently over 16,700 children living with a life-shortening condition in Scotland.
"That number is rising and it is our aim to reach every family who needs us.”
The club raised the money through a number of efforts including the Three Peaks Challenge – climbing Ben Nevis, Snowdon and Scafell Pike in 24 hours.
CHAS is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year and is currently recruiting new volunteers.
