A PEDIGREE sheep has been taken from a Borders field, according to police.
Officers are appealing for information about the alleged theft which is believed to have happened overnight on Saturday (October 22).
‘Mabel’, a four-year-old Valais Blacknose ewe, was removed from a Lamberton field next to the A1, say police.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police are appealing for information, particularly anyone who may have seen a vehicle with a trailer stopped on the northbound carriageway during this period.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident 1534 of October 24, 2022.
“Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously at 0800 555 111.”
