UPDATE: Alexander Gordon Stewart has been traced "safe and well", according to police.
POLICE have issued an appeal for help to trace a missing Galashiels man.
Alexander Gordon Stewart, 57, was last seen in the town around 4.30pm on Friday (October 28).
Known as Gordon, he is described as being white, 5ft5 tall, of average build, with short dyed black hair which is receding and a tanned complexion.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “He was last known to be wearing a navy blue jumper, brown jacket and brown shoes.
“He travels on public transport and is not believed to have access to a vehicle.
“Anyone who believes they have seen Gordon or who has any other information is asked to call 101, quoting reference 4069 of October 28, 2022.”
