ROADS Policing officers detected a variety of offences during a static a road check in the Scottish Borders last week.
The initiative took place on Friday November 4 on the A72 near Cardronna and was in response to local concerns.
During the course of the checks, a total of 82 vehicles were stopped.
Five of the stops resulted in immediate prohibitions for dangerous defects.
One Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) had no tachograph and one HGV being driven with prohibition in place.
