WITH the sun shining over Galashiels on Sunday afternoon, the town gathered at the War Memorial to honour those in active service and those who gave their lives in conflict.
The procession left the Galashiels branch of the Royal British Legion Scotland at 12.20pm and paraded towards the War Memorial.
At the memorial, the Remembrance service began with the hymn ‘O God Our Help in Ages Past’.
The service was led by Reverend Graeme Glover from Galashiels Church of Scotland.
Wreaths were laid at the memorial, then the brass band played the national anthem.
