ON a misty morning in Melrose, communities came together to pay their respects on Remembrance Sunday.
The morning began with a service at Gattonside War Memorial and a ceremony at Bowden Kirk at 9.30am.
The congregation and wider community then joined together at Melrose War Memorial for 10.45am.
Led by Reverend Rosemary Frew, from Bowden and Melrose Parish Church, members of the local authority and community groups laid wreaths at the memorial.
From the War Memorial the gathering was invited to join in worship at Melrose Parish Church.
Later on Sunday a Remembrance service was held at Newstead War Memorial at 2pm, and at 3pm at Darnick Hall and War Memorial.
