A PROCESSION of religious leaders, community groups and members of the public set off from Kelso Square on Sunday to honour the fallen.
The group then paraded towards the War Memorial, led by Kelso Pipe Band.
Arriving at the War Memorial at 10.45am, a service was conducted by representatives of Kelso Churches Together – formed of Kelso North and Ednam, Kelso Old and Sprouston, Cheviot Churches, St Andrews Episcopal Church, St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, The Religious Society of Friends, and Kelso Baptist Church.
After paying their respects to those who gave their lives in conflict and honouring those still in service, and laying wreaths at the memorial, the procession proceeded along Bridge Street, and up Roxburgh Street towards Kelso British Legion.
