PENALTY tickets and warnings were issued as police carried out road checks at a Borders high school.
Seventeen vehicles were stopped by officers during the exercise in Kelso on Monday, November 12.
A couple of days earlier, three cars were stopped for speeding on the town’s Shedden Park Road, say police.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “On Saturday, November 12, officers from Scottish Borders Roads Policing carried out high visibility road checks on Shedden Park Road Kelso. Three vehicles were stopped for speeding.
“On Monday, November 14, road checks took place outside Kelso High School. Officers stopped seventeen vehicles, and fixed penalty tickets and warnings were issued for several road traffic offences.
“Please drive within the speed limit and show consideration to all road users.”
