POLICE in the Scottish Borders have launched an investigation following a ‘hit and run’ crash which left a cyclist with head, leg and arm injuries.
The incident took place around 1pm on Sunday December 4 2022 on the A6091 road at the Melrose roundabout.
Emergency services attended the scene, and the female cyclist was taken to Borders General Hospital for treatment.

The car involved left the scene prior to the arrival of the police who are now making enquiries to trace the driver.
No description of the vehicle has been released at this time.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a crash involving a car and a cyclist on the A6091 at the Melrose roundabout, around 1pm on Sunday, December 4, 2022.
“The female cyclist was taken to Borders General Hospital for treatment.
“The car left the scene prior to police arrival and enquiries are ongoing to trace the driver.”
