ROAD Policing Officers are appealing for information following a single vehicle crash on the A68 near Soutra in the Scottish Borders which left two people seriously injured.
Officers say that they received a report of a white Ford Focus having crashed near the junction for Gilston around 4.30am this morning (Wednesday January 4 2023)
A 49-year-old woman was taken by ambulance to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh where her condition is described as serious but stable.

A 21-year-old man was also taken by ambulance to the same hospital. His condition is described as serious but stable.
The road was closed between Soutra and Oxton while investigations were carried out and reopened around 11.15am.
Enquiries are ongoing into the cause of the crash and officers are appealing for information.

Sergeant Iain McIntyre said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time who either saw what happened or saw the white Ford Focus prior to the crash.
Likewise, anyone with dash cam footage of the A68 around 4.30am on Wednesday, please review it and bring anything relevant to our attention.”
