AB ZONDHAGH has left his role as Scotland assistant attack coach less than a month before the start of the Six Nations.
Scottish Rugby posted a tweet on Monday announcing that the 36-year-old South African had departed “for family reasons and to pursue opportunities”.

Zondagh joined Gregor Townsend’s coaching staff from Toulouse in August 2021 after Mike Blair vacated his position as attack coach to take charge of Edinburgh.

It has been widely reported that Zondagh who was previously working with Toulouse is set to take on a new coaching role with French Top 14 club Lyon.
It remains to be seen if Scotland will appoint a replacement ahead of the Six Nations which start at Twickenham on Saturday February 4.

One week later Gregor’s men face Wales at BT Murrayfield then on Sunday February 26 they cross the channel to face France.
The Scots finish the tournament with two home game against Ireland on Sunday March 12 then Italy on Saturday March 18.
