A GALASHIELS man has been jailed for almost three years after admitting a series of offences.
Thirty-two-year-old Michael Johnston pleaded guilty to several charges including breaching a non-harassment order involving a former partner, threatening or abusive behaviour, police assault and obstructing police.
He had failed to appear at Selkirk Sheriff Court on Monday for sentence and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Johnston appeared from custody this afternoon and sentences totalling 34 months imprisonment were imposed.
