AN INVESTIGATION is underway following a break in to a house in Cardrona.

The incident took place between 2pm on Friday February 17 and 5.20pm on Saturday February 18.

The house was ransacked and two bicycles, three off-road motorcycles, three jackets, a helmet and a transporter van were stolen.

The van was subsequently recovered abandoned in East Lothian and officers are appealing for information from the public.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a break-in at a property on Castle Knowe Road in Cardrona near Peebles around 5.20pm on Saturday, 18 February.

“The incident happened sometime after 2pm on Friday, 17 February. Two bicycles and three off-road motorcycles were stolen from the property.

“A black Volkswagen Transporter van was also stolen from the property and since been traced abandoned in East Lothian.

“Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information can call 101, quoting reference 2427 of 18 February.”

Details have been widely shared on social media and the bikes are described as follows.

1 x Triumph Scrambler 1200 SE with aftermarket exhaust.

1 x 2022 CRF1100 D2 Honda Africa Twin (Blue/Red/White) (Reg SL22 BHD)

1 x 2021 KTM Duke 390 (Reg SM21 CTV) White/Orange.

1 x Red Shoei Helmet and 3 x motorcycle jackets.

1 x Red Specialized E- road bike

1 x Red Raleigh road bike.
