MEMBERS of Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue Team broke away from their annual winter training weekend in Fort William on Saturday to assist Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team in a major multiagency search for a missing walker Kyle Sambrook and his dog in the Glencoe area.
Sadly, late on Saturday afternoon searchers found the body of a man and dog in a deep gorge above the Fionn Ghleann.

Tweed Valley MRT members were re-tasked from their search areas to assist in the recovery operation.
A Police spokesperson said: “Around 2.15pm on Saturday, 25 February, 2023, the bodies of a man and a dog were recovered by Mountain Rescue Teams and HM Coastguard in the Glencoe Area.

They have now been identified as Kyle Sambrook and his dog Bane, who were reported missing earlier this week.
The family wish to thank all involved in the search and have requested their privacy be respected.
There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
In a message posted on social media, a spokesperson for Tweed Valley MRT said: “Our thoughts are with Kyle’s family and friends at this time.”
