OLYMPIAN Eve Muirhead has announced that she is to run the London Marathon to help raise funds and awareness for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.
Muirhead led Team North and Midlands to success at Doddie Aid 2023 and is an ambassador for the late rugby star’s MND charity.

She made the announcement on social media, tweeting: “I’m very excited to announce I will be doing the London Marathon in April.
“Working closely with my sponsors Synergy Biologics, Castore and the expertise of Steve Cram I’ll be as ready as I can for the big day!

The 32-year-old announced her retirement from full-time curling last year after competing in four Olympic games, winning gold and bronze medals
Doddie Weir passed away in November 2022, six years after being diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease.
His foundation has raised over £8m for research into MND and supporting those affected by the condition.
