NATIONAL healthcare charity, Sue Ryder has become an approved stockist for Frenchic Paint, an award-winning, eco-friendly, chalk paint product, with a devoted celebrity following including Stacey Solomon and Mrs Hinch.
The Jedburgh shop, located at Canongate, is one of those selected to carry three ranges from the innovative paint brand, which Instagram royalty and self-proclaimed upcycling lover, Stacey Solomon used to transform her beloved home, known as Pickle Cottage, including her son’s bedroom.

It is hoped that members of the local community will be inspired to redecorate their house, switch up the garden or simply try their hand at DIY and upcycling with this new product.
In addition to the wide range of pre-loved clothing, bric-a-brac and small items of furniture, the shop will now stock ranges from the popular paint brand, becoming a one-stop shop for those who may be enticed to buy a previously owned item and give it a low-cost make over.
Aside from celebrities and influencers, the general public also make up this brands cult following.
First time DIYers on TikTok and Instagram have shown just how much can be done with one tin, from transforming your front door, giving a new lease of life to some old furniture and even children’s toys, as it is certified toy safe and has virtually no odour.

Shop manager, Caroline Dalziel, is excited for the range to launch: “In addition to our pre-loved items, we are thrilled to have been selected to have these products in our shop, giving local people the opportunity to use products, worshipped by the likes of Mrs Hinch and Stacey Solomon.
“Lots of people have experimented with DIY over the last couple of years, so being able to offer it on the local communities’ doorstep, rather than just online, is a real privilege. I can’t wait to see the transformations our customers create!”
