POLICE Scotland has released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist them with their ongoing enquiries into an assault which occurred at the Hibs stadium at Easter Road in Edinburgh on August 7 2022.
That day saw the first Edinburgh derby of the season. Hearts took the lead with a goal from Lawrence Shankland but Martin Boyle secured a point with a late equaliser.

Thousands of fans from the Scottish Borders follow both teams and regularly attend matches.
And these images are being shared because officers hope that someone will be able to identify the man concerned who is described as white, with short dark hair and stubble wearing a dark green/brown top.
The full circumstances surrounding the incident under investigation have not been released.

Police Constable Luke Wilson said: “Officers are keen to speak to the man in the image as they believe he will be able to assist with their enquiries.
“The man pictured or anyone who recognises him, or anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland via 101.
“Alternatively, please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where you can give information anonymously.”
Note: Police Scotland need permission from the Crown Office / Procurator Fiscal before such images can be released hence the time delay.
