A MAN and a woman were taken to hospital following a three vehicle crash in the in the Scottish Borders yesterday (Monday April 3)
The crash took place around 9.50am on the A698 near Newton, Jedburgh
The road was closed for around two hours to facilitate an investigation and reopened around noon.

Officers say that their enquiries are continuing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were called to a report of a three vehicle crash on the A698 near Newton, Jedburgh around 9.50am on Monday, 3 April, 2023.

"The drivers of two of the vehicles, a man and a woman, were taken by ambulance to Borders General Hospital.
"The road was reopened around 12pm and enquiries are ongoing."
