POLICE in the Scottish Borders have issued a warning to the public after receiving reports that someone tried to gain entry to a property in Duns.
Specific details of the incident have not been released but officers are reiterating the importance of securing your home and valuables.
Officers say that people should: Keep windows & doors locked - always remove the key from the lock where there is glazing or a letterbox nearby.
