THIS year's Tweedbank principals have been announced.
On Saturday, the Tweedbank community gathered at the community centre to hear the news everyone had been waiting for – who would be Tweedbank Fair Lad and Lass 2023.
At the ceremony P7 pupils Archie Barr and Ava Evans, both 11, were named as those taking on the prestigious positions.
Their classmates Ava Swan and Ethan Fraser were announced as first attendants, and Alex Bell and Katie Deerin will be their second attendants.
Fair convener Paul Wheatley told the Border Telegraph: "Picking night was a great success.
"It was lovely to see a great turnout from the community to support the P7s.
"The fair Saturday is always a great event.
"We have added some extra attractions this year so [we are] excited for a busy and fun event for the whole community to enjoy.
"The new committee has come together well over the last few months, [with] lots of new ideas and truckloads of enthusiasm.
"[We're] excited to see the results of our months of hard work."
The Tweedbank Fair will begin on Sunday, May 28, with the investiture.
Then on Wednesday, May 31, the village will host the fair's fancy dress and disco.
Fair week will end with the grand parade, Rock on the Loch and fair at Tweedbank Primary School on Saturday, June 3.
