Galashiels Community Council Chair Judith Cleghorn 'cut the ribbon' at 11.30 in front of dozens of spectators.
She said: "It's an honour and pleasure to open this valuable facility. On behalf of the Galashiels Community Council I'd like to welcome Shona and Andrew to Channel Street."
They are running three Clinical Open Days on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of this coming week, offering free hearing tests, the chance to look in your ear with a video otoscope, and some freebie giveaways.
Shona Jackson, director of Borders Hearing Care says “Don’t put up with not hearing well! If you’ve been missing out on conversation, missing the sound of children laughing, or missing out on any of your favourite sounds recently, come in for a free hearing and ear health check! It might just be a build-up of ear wax.”
Borders Hearing Care are open from 9.30am to 4pm on their Open Days, and the same times Monday to Thursday every week – call to make an appointment on 01896 800369 or just pop in.
