A MAN has been arrested in connection with a disturbance within Tesco supermarket in Paton Street Galashiels earlier this afternoon.
Two police vans rushed to the scene shortly before 3pm to assist security staff inside the shop.

The man has since been charged in connection with the incident and officers say that a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a disturbance at a supermarket in Galashiels on Monday, 29 May and officers attended to assist security staff.

“A man was arrested and charged in connection with the disturbance. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
