FIVE youths have been charged in connection with vandalism at a church in Galashiels, according to police.
A number of windows at the Stirling Street site were damaged during the reported incident at around 7.50pm on Monday (May 29).
Four boys and a 13-year-old girl will be reported to youth justice authorities, say officers.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The incident involved damage caused to a number of windows at a church on Stirling Street around 7.50pm on Monday, May 29.
“Four boys, aged 14, 14, 12 and 12, and one girl, aged 13, have been charged. They will all be reported to the youth justice authorities.”
