ONE person was taken to hospital following a two vehicle crash in the Scottish Borders which took place earlier today.
The collision occurred around 10.40am on the A72 near to Blyth Bridge.
Emergency serviced rushed to the scene and police closed the road for almost four hours.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.40am on Tuesday, 6 June, 2023, police were called to the A72 near Blyth Bridge, following a report of a two-vehicle crash.
One person was taken to hospital for treatment and the road was cleared around 2.20pm.”

No further details on the person taken to hospital have been released.
The Scottish Ambulance Service has been approached for comment.
