The A6088 will be closed at Kirkton from 9am on Monday June 19 to 3pm on Friday June 23 2023 for vertical alignment works to the road to facilitate abnormal loads associated with Pines Burn Wind Farm.
The closure is required to enable works to be carried out safely and in a timeous manner.

The works involve vertical reprofiling of the carriageway (locally reducing the height of a hump in the road) to allow passage of the long delivery wagons.
Alternative route via A6088, A698, A68 and A6088 to point of closure.
