THE offer of primary (first and second) doses for those aged 5 and above, who have no underlying conditions that put them at greater risk of Covid-19, will end on 30 June 2023.
NHS Borders have been running dedicated drop-in clinics where capacity allows throughout June 2023.

And the final such clinic will take place in Selkirk tomorrow Tuesday June 27 at the Victoria Hall.
The clinic will run between 9.30am and 1pm and from 1.45pm 5.45pm
After Friday June 30 2023, 5-49 year olds, not in a clinical risk group, will no longer be eligible for any Covid-19 vaccinations.
Those who are identified within a clinical risk group can still come forward for their Primary doses, with details to be communicated in due course.
NHS Borders says that it is important that everyone who is eligible takes up a booster this Spring.

All vaccines will increase your protection against being severely ill from Covid-19.
Covid-19 Booster vaccinations will be offered to the following groups during the Spring / Summer vaccination programme: residents in care homes for older adults, adults aged 75 years and over (or will turn 75 by 30 June 2023) and people aged 5 years and over (by 1 April 2023) with a weakened immune system
If you are part of one of the eligible groups above, you should by now have received an appointment date and time, or a prompt to book an appointment.

Please note, if you are looking to reschedule an appointment for a child under 12, this must be done via the National Vaccination Helpline.
The Scottish Government have announced that children aged 6 months to 4 years who are considered clinically at-risk will be offered the Covid-19 vaccination. Children in this group must have been aged 6 months or over on 1st April 2023.
Parents of eligible children will be contacted by NHS Borders Vaccination Team in due course, with instructions of how to make an appointment. Appointments will be available from the end of May 2023.
Those aged 6 months to 4 years who do not have specific medical conditions which place them at greater risk from Covid-19 will not be eligible for the vaccination, in line with JCVI guidance.
Parents concerned that their child has been missed, or has been incorrectly deemed not at-risk, can contact the National Vaccination Helpline on 0800 030 8013 or speak to their GP.
