A POWER cut that affected parts of Galashiels yesterday morning Wednesday June 28 2023 was caused by a cable fault according to energy provider SP Energy Network.
The fault was reported around 8.45am and engineers responded immediately.
The majority of customers were reconnected within 45 minutes.

Power was fully restored within two hours.
The company have apologised for any inconvenience caused.
An SP Energy Networks spokesperson said: “At around 8.45 this morning a number of our customers in Galashiels experienced a power cut due to a cable fault.

“The majority of our customers were reconnected within 45 minutes with the remaining customers connected within two hours.
“We’re very sorry for any inconvenience caused.”
