A RAIN warning has been issued for parts of the Borders.
The yellow Met Office alert is in place from 4pm today (Monday, July 10) and lasts until 6am on Tuesday.
The warning covers the east of the Borders, although there is only “a small chance of disruption from heavy rain”, according to a spokesperson.
They added: “Areas of rain will move northwards across Scotland late Monday afternoon and continue during the evening and overnight into Tuesday.

“This is likely to bring fairly widely 15-25mm of rainfall, which in itself is unlikely to bring disruption, other than areas of standing water.
“However, there is a small chance of the rain turning heavier leading to areas of 30-50mm and perhaps even 70mm for one or two spots.
“If this did occur this is more likely to lead to some surface water flooding.”
