A NUMBER of train services on the Borders Railway were delayed or cancelled yesterday (Tuesday July 11 2023) after police responded to a ‘concern for welfare’ report.
British Transport Police officers were called to the Galashiels Interchange shortly after 11am.
Officers attended and one person was taken to a place of safety.

That resulted in services being 'subject to delay or revision' according to ScotRail staff who confirmed they had been assisting officers before focussing on getting trains and crew back into position following this incident.
The service returned to normal by late afternoon.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "Officers were called to Galashiels railway station at around 11.10am on Tuesday July 11 following reports of concern for welfare.
"Officers attended and a person was taken to a place of safety."
