CUSTOMERS of a Borders bakery have once again raised money to keep their town looking its best.
As part of its annual fundraising appeal, Dalgetty & Sons in Galashiels had a donation jar on its counter where the public could give what they could to support Gala in Bloom.
Customers helped to raised £690 which will allow the team of volunteers to continue their work around the town.
Gala in Bloom, a sub-group of Galashiels Community Council, oversees and maintains the flowers boxes around the town as well as Bank Street Gardens.
Celebrating the fundraising efforts on Thursday, June 29 in Bank Street Gardens, Craig Murray from Dalgetty Bakers handed over a cheque to Galashiels community council chair Judith Cleghorn and volunteers from Gala in Bloom.
In addition to the cheque handover, Gala in Bloom donned their new work tops provided by Richie Gray’s Global Sports Innovation (GSI) Performance.
