THE Floors Castle International Horse Trials will not run in 2024.
This year the event took place over four days within the prestigious at Floors Castle between May 11 and 14 2023.
Emily King who won the 3* event on Jackpot and took second and third in the Intermediate with the Irlam’s horses, Killaloe Flash the Cash and Sunny Side Up paid tribute to organisers.

She said: “It’s a stunning event, beautifully presented and the going is fantastic. No mud! The cross country is proper and educational.”
However Kick on Events who ran this event in 2022 and 2023 now say that they have been unable to make the event financially viable.

A spokesperson said: “As a family run venture, alongside our primary business, we have found it extremely difficult to allocate the time required to put on an event of this scale and give it the attention it deserves.
“We would like to thank the Duke of Roxburghe and all of his team for the support they’ve given us and for allowing us to host the event in these beautiful surroundings.
“We wish to thank all the Sponsor’s and volunteers who helped, events simply can’t run without the generous support given.
“It only remains to say we are very sorry we have come to this conclusion and, as eventers ourselves, we can assure you it was not made lightly.”
