A DOGS' Day Out at Traquair was a great success last weekend.
Despite the ominous forecast, the day turned out bright and sunny with the walled garden offering protection against the wind.
Dogs and their owners came in their hundreds to enjoy the fun.
From gun dog displays, a mini circus and agility courses, there was something for everyone.
In the walled garden there were stalls aplenty from pet charities.
And there was also a dog massage facility and behavioural advice on hand.
The companion show was as popular as ever with Waggiest Tail, Dog that Looks Most like its Owner and Fastest Sausage eater among the categories.
Best Rescue dog was won by Midgy, a chihuahua rescued from a puppy farm in Ireland.
There were obedience classes as well; and Scamp, owned by Robin Barrie, went on to become Champion Dog of Show and received the Daphne Memorial Cup.
Catherine Maxwell Stuart, 21st Lady of Traquair, said: “ It was a brilliant day and so much fun to see so many different breeds of dogs from St Bernards to miniature poodles.
“This is the fifth year we have run the event and it goes from strength to strength with many people bringing dogs to help them socialise with others as well as being able to go off on a doggy storytelling walk or just stroll around the grounds.”
