WHAT do Sir Alex Ferguson, Sir Kenny Dalglish, Jock Stein, Sandy Jardine and the Hibs Famous Five have in common with 12-year-old Innerleithen schoolboy Stuart Whiteford?
They all have football stands named after them.
Earlier this year Vale of Leithen launched a fundraising initiative.

It gave football supporters everywhere the chance to have the Victoria Park stand named after them for just £1.
Dad Dean bought the ticket in Stuart’s name and the pair were shocked when his ticket was drawn.
Although Stuart, who is in second year at Peebles High School, enjoys football his main interest is in running and he has competed at middle distances in Borders Games events.
And he is no stranger to Victoria Park having finished in second place to fellow Innerleithen runner Fletcher Oliphant in the 800m American Cup at this year’s St Ronan’s games.

Stuart said: “I think it’s good that the winner came from Innerleithen and I’m proud that it’s me although the achievement was based on luck. My dad bought the ticket as a joke and we never thought it would win.
“It’s my first property in the town and the banner looks really good. My friends couldn’t believe it.
“I like football and support Hearts but will go to watch Vale this season when I’m not running.”

Vale’s Bobby Craigie, who organised the raffle, said: "A big thanks again for everyone who bought a ticket.
"It was a bit of fun but also good fundraiser for the club raising more than £600. Much appreciated.”
